36782 Bayside Drive Fenwick Island
At 0646 on 02/11/14 Station 70, 90, 84, Ocean City and Medic 105 where dispatched to a house fire at 36782 Bayside Drive in the Sea Towne Development in Fenwick Island. Quint 70-5, Tower 70, B-70 Traffic Control 70 and 70-8 with Assistant Chief Moore responded from headquarters. Quint arrived on the scene and found a greenhouse under the rear deck......

SINGLE VEHICLE MVC
West Way Sea Colony
At 1447 on Sunday 2/9/14 Station 70 was dispatched to a reported MVC on West Way in Sea Colony West. 70-8 with Deputy Chief Hickman responded and upon arriving found a single vehicle MVC into a tree with air bag deployment and a single patient. Rescue 70 and Quint 70-4 responded and stabilized the vehicle and assisted B-70 with patient care. Traffic Control 70 and Fire Police closed West Way and detoured traffic. B-70 transported on patient to Beebe Medical center and the scene was turned over......

WORKING RESIDENTIAL FIRE
110 Anchorage Drive South Bethany
At 2149 Station 70 was dispatched to a reported appliance fire at 110 Anchorage Drive in South Bethany. Chief Martin in 70-8 arrived and found smoke showing from division 2 of a three story residential structure. He immediately ordered Quint 70-4 to lay a supply line and upgraded the response to a working alarm. Sussex EOC filled the assignment with Stations 84, 90 and 76 along with Medic 105. Quint 70-4 took side A and stretched an attack line quickly knocking down a fire around a gas fire......

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day where steady with activity for the BBVFC. During the evening of 12/31/13 Tower 70, Quint 70-4 and 70-8 with Chief Martin responded to assist Ocean City on a working structure fire on Pine Tree Drive. TRUCK COMPANY OPERATION DRILLS

On Wednesday night 10/30/13 BBVFC and Millville VFC took advantage of a unique training opportunity. Using a building slated for demolition on the grounds of the Bethany Beach Christian Church off of Pennsylvania Ave, the companies had a night of truck company operations drills. With the help of Instructor Michael Lombardo (retired fire commissioner Buffalo NY) crews did evolutions in search and rescue using simulated smoke, SCBA mask obstructions and thermal imaging cameras to enhance the reality......

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH
Indian River Inlet Bridge
Returning from the fire in Millville at 1218 on 10/11/13 Station 70 was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on the south side of the Indian River Inlet Bridge in the north bound lanes of Coastal Highway. 70-8 with Assistant Chief Tom Moore, Quint 70-5, B-70, A-70 and Traffic Control 70 responded. Arriving on scene units found no injuries and performed traffic control, scene stabilization and obtained a patient refusal. Units cleared the scene at 1300.
