On Sunday 6-28-09 the BBVFC assisted DSP, Delaware National Guard and HAM Operators with a water rescue training exercise. Delaware Trooper 2 preformed several long line rescue operations in conjunction with Marine 70. The main purpose of this drill was to check inoperability between HAM radios and the 800 radio systems. Coastal Hwy & Light House Rd

|
On 6-12-2009 the Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted to a reported MVC at the intersection of Coastal Highway and Lighthouse Rd. Bethany Beach Fire units arrived to find 3 cars involved in the accident with two BLS patients requiring transport to area hospitals.

On 06-02-2009 at 2301hrs the Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted to assist Station 84 (Millville) with a reported structure fire at #500 Atlantic Ave. in Millville. Units arrived to find a 2.5 story home heavily involved with fire on all three floors. Responding units were assigned into suppression, ventilation and overhaul groups during the fire. Bethany Beach units operated on scene for 3hrs.

On 5-29-2009 at 2151hrs the Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted to assist Station 84 (Millville) with a reported structure fire. Responding units arrived to find a 3 story home with smoke showing from all sides and fire in the garage area of the home. It is apparent that a lighting strike caused the fire. Units operated for just under 3hrs.

On 4/24/2009 at 0306hrs the Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted with Roxana (90), Millville (84) and SCEMS to a reported structure fire. Bethany Beach Units Q704 and T707 arrived to find a single wide trailer heavily involved with fire. Q704's crew made entry through the front door providing an aggressive interior attack stopping the fires progress. T707's crew arrived handling primary search and ventilation tasks. On 4/11/2009 at 1011hrs the Bethany Beach Fire Company was alerted to a reported motor vehicle collision with injuries. Units arrived to find a 2 vehicle MVC with 1 occupant trapped in the car requiring a “door pop” to remove the victim from the vehicle.
